Yates Scott Lansing, PE, CPESC, CPSWQ
Yates Scott Lansing founded Lansing Engineering in 2001. Mr. Lansing earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. Mr. Lansing is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer, a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and is also a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality.
Mr. Lansing is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the New York Society Professional Engineers and Soil and Water Conservation Service.
Mr. Lansing’s field of expertise is in infrastructure design and land development planning.
As a child, Mr. Lansing enjoyed math and science and was fascinated by heavy equipment, building and development projects. Mr. Lansing chose to pursue a career in Civil Engineering because he enjoys the comprehensive planning and the detailed design work that it takes to put a successful project together.
Mr. Lansing likes the demands associated with optimizing his clients’ project objectives within local, state and federal regulating requirements while balancing economic feasibility, environmental constraints and community character. Mr. Lansing enjoys challenging projects and developing solutions to overcome the challenges. Mr. Lansing takes a great deal of pride in the quality of the final plans Lansing Engineering produces and finds great satisfaction in seeing the plans implemented into construction and functioning to meet the needs of his clients and the community. Mr. Lansing also enjoys the people he works with and the family-type atmosphere of the office. He feels that it is truly an honor to be associated with such a hard working, dedicated and fun group of individuals. Mr. Lansing is proud of the creation of Lansing Engineering, PC and the growth it has experienced. He enjoys his duties in the operation and management of the firm and is excited for the future of the company.
Jason Dell joined Lansing Engineering in 2004. Mr. Dell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Water Resources from State University of New York at Oneonta and a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University. Mr. Dell is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer, a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and is also a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality.
Mr. Dell’s field of expertise is in concept plan development, site layout, grading, roadway design, utility design, stormwater management and sediment and erosion control planning.
Mr. Dell decided to pursue a career in Engineering because he was always curious as to why and how things were built and constructed. Mr. Dell selected Civil Engineering as he enjoys the challenges of engineering a successful site and guiding a project from the conceptual phase all the way through completion. Mr. Dell likes the diversity and challenge that each project possesses.
Mr. Dell has a great feeling of accomplishment when he sees a project that he has advanced from paper to construction.
Sean Farrell joined Lansing Engineering in 2004. Mr. Farrell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome.
Mr. Farrell’s field of expertise is in concept plan development, site layout, grading, roadway design, utility design, stormwater management and sediment and erosion control planning.
Mr. Farrell chose to pursue a career in Civil Engineering because he enjoys diverse challenges each project faces. Mr. Farrell likes to be able to design a project then work in the field to see it all come together.
Mr. Farrell likes the variety his career has to offer and enjoys that no two jobs are alike, making his work interesting and fun.
Jodi Chang joined Lansing Engineering in 2005. Mrs. Chang earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Ecosystems from Binghamton University. Mrs. Chang is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and is also a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality. Mrs. Chang is an active member of the Soil and Water Conservation Service.
Mrs. Chang’s field of expertise is in stormwater pollution prevention and wastewater disposal system design.
Mrs. Chang enjoys the design aspect of Civil Engineering and seeing a project from conception to completion while combining aspects from her collegiate studies in environmental assessments and stormwater pollution prevention.
Mrs. Chang’s favorite part of her job is the people she works with. She loves coming to work because it feels like family to her. Mrs. Chang likes that everyone at Lansing Engineering is constantly working together with different skills to bring out the best in one another. Mrs. Chang feels that Lansing Engineering really is a satisfying and positive work environment.
Mrs. Chang enjoys the variety of work. From designing concept plans to stormwater pollution prevention inspections, the work is constantly changing. She feels her position is a healthy balance between fieldwork and office work keeping things both challenging and exciting.
Michael Robertson joined Lansing Engineering in 2008. Mr. Robertson earned an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. Robertson’s field of expertise is in wastewater disposal systems, stormwater management design, waste-supply designs, sanitary sewer conveyance and drafting.
Mr. Robertson enjoys seeing projects he has worked on come to life and become more than a set of plans. He enjoys working in the field as well as the office.
Karie Bumford joined Lansing Engineering in 2008. Ms. Bumford brings a depth of administrative experience to Lansing Engineering. Her background includes a wide variety of office management in many areas – Retail Business, Banking, and Healthcare, to name a few.
Ms. Bumford’s field of expertise is in business organization, documentation and procedures.
Ms. Bumford has chosen to maintain a position in Office Administration because she has enjoyed great success in providing a strong foundation to a multitude of organizations while balancing her primary focus as mother to her school aged children.
Ms. Bumford enjoys the challenge of supporting the Lansing Engineering team in a line of work that is new to her. Ms. Bumford thoroughly enjoys the attributes of her co-workers and is awed at how effectively a truly family oriented staff works, providing the utmost dedicated professionalism to clients and the community. She feels privileged to have discovered the opportunity to come to Lansing Engineering.
Mr. Lubera earned an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Hudson Valley Community College and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. Mr. Lubera is a Project Engineer.
Mr. Lubera’s field of expertise is in Construction Inspection, Concrete and Soil testing, Stormwater Modeling and Computer Aided Drafting.
Mr. Lubera decided to pursue a career in Engineering because he takes pleasure in using problem solving techniques to bring ideas into life tangibly and concretely to improve the world.
Travis Rosencranse joined Lansing Engineering in 2012. Mr. Rosencranse earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Rosencranse’s field of expertise is in utility design, sanitary sewer design and drafting.
Mr. Rosencranse chose to pursue a career in Civil Engineering due to the versatility and challenges faced on a daily basis. The industry provides the opportunity to apply engineering principles in order to solve diverse problems when designing a project. Mr. Rosencranse appreciates being part of a team oriented approach to produce a concept, and ultimately a constructed design.
Brien Ragone joined Lansing Engineering in 2012. Mr. Ragone earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting from SUNY Cobleskill. Mr. Ragone is a New York State Registered Landscape Architect, and also a LEED Green Accredited Professional. In addition, he holds both an A+ and Net+ professional certification in computer hardware, software and networking.
Mr. Ragone’s field of expertise is in layout and grading, CAD management and planting plans.
Mr. Ragone chose to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture based on his enthusiasm for design and technology. He feels the industry provides the opportunity to bring computerized design to life in the finished product.
